Tomorrow Never Dies is released on rental tomorrow so most of the weekend papers review the video. The Sun's Paul Hazeldine gives it a 10 rating and sister paper News of The World's Jessica Mellor goes with the header of Undying devotion to Pierce !. Her review ending " .. The News of The World's showbiz writer, Claudia Connell reveals that MTV presenter & model Jenny McCarthy is to become one of the Big Screen Charlie's Angels.
The other two girls will be Jada Scream Pinkett and Bond girl Michelle TND Yeoh.
Paramount Pictures are quoted as saying "All three are strong 90's women, unlike the original which was very cheesy. They will not be afraid to get dirty."

Alas I don't buy singles anymore but when I saw this 'reduced' single CD of Diamonds Are Forever featuring David McAlmont and David Arnold on the cover, I thought why not. This CD single features 3 different version of Diamonds Are Forever - one subtitled You Expect Me to Do What Mr Goldfinger plus Mr. Arnold gets his chance to do a traditional cover of The James Bond Theme not like the updated one on his Shaken and Stirred album.
Putney Answer ... whenever Pierce Brosnan is interviewed and asked about his first trip to see a Bond film. He usually recalls walking down Putney High Street as a young lad and going to see Goldfinger at the local cinema. Whether the present Irish pub was located opposite it in those days, I don't know but I'm sure that it would have helped him enjoy the movie. |
